About
My name is Lianna and I am the founder of Wild Rabbit Vintage alongside my partner Mark.
Raised in Southern Alberta and based out of Calgary | Mohkinstsis on Treaty 7 territory, the prairies, land, and mountains are the main inspiration for this company. We created this brand out of our shared love for fashion, design, and music with sustainability at it's core - trying to close as many loops as we can while expressing our crafts as environmentally and socially responsible as possible.
Wild Rabbit Vintage is both a preloved/vintage clothing brand as well as a handmade goods company. We collect, curate and create handmade pieces, focusing on using or upcycling as many environmentally responsible materials as we can find. The main focus for our brand is to educate and inspire more responsible consumerism, where supporting slow fashion, local makers/artists and reducing waste in our own daily practices is key. Education surrounding green washing, environmental consequences due to mass production as well as the global social human impact - equitable pay/worker rights is a daily reminder of why Wild Rabbit Vintage strives to do what we do.
Many of our materials for our jewelry pieces are sourced either directly or locally, while our crocheted goods are made using cotton/natural recycled fibers. Our wood pieces are made from logs or boards that are destined for the fire pit or wood chipper. In short, each hand made piece has a story linking it with local suppliers or how the material was sourced.
Our vintage and preloved pieces are true vintage or very gently used second hand. The pieces are usually one of a kind - we are always on the hunt for special pieces that have been forgotten and are ready for a new life in your wardrobe. Each piece often has a story as we work closely with the community and families throughout Canada so that we can invest back into those who originally owned the pieces,

Our new space is also home to both local and Canadian musicians' records. Come in for a coffee and have a listen to artists like Jeremie Albino, Benjamin Dakota Rogers or Sister Rae. The shop will also be hosting local vintage vendors in the loft where you can enjoy more of what this amazing community has to offer.

Thank you for stopping by our little website and supporting the slow fashion and artisan movement. We can't wait for you to visit our space.
